“I wanted to celebrate beauty as individuality and the one-of-a-kind,” said Pierpaolo Piccioli speaking with WWD about the values he wanted the Valentino Spring 2016 advertising campaign to embody. Enter Lorena Maraschi, the very embodiment of those values, who features in the newly released campaign photographed by David Sims and styled by Karl Templer. This collection marks Piccioli’s first as the sole creative director for the maison following his longtime creative partner Maria Grazia Chiuri’s departure last year to Dior. Lorena’s singular beauty is abundantly clear in this campaign, which follows 92 days from the moment she set foot on the runway in Paris for this collection.
