The 173 day wait to catch a first glimpse of the Raf Simons era at Calvin Klein concluded early Sunday morning with the unveiling of Calvin Klein By Appointment, a 14-piece bespoke collection. Starring in the advertising campaign photographed by Willy Vanderperre are a quartet of models at Next including Abbey Lee (pictured), Lineisy Montero, Selena Forrest, and Tessa Bruinsma. Included with the campaign launch came a quotation by the Simons, “Calvin Klein is not only about iconic underwear and jeans — it’s about so much more.” The more in this proposition is essentially couture this side of the Atlantic, the timing of which coincides with the couture collections being shown in Paris this week. The collection reportedly will be made entirely in New York by the Calvin Klein atelier. Appointments start 1 April 2017, which is only 68 more days.
