Rebellion is in the air. Convention be damned! The February 2017 issue of Allure riffs on this sentiment in a beauty feature by photographer Richard Burbridge that profiles a short list of models including Caitie Greene and Jay Wright who are redefining what beauty can be. “I used to think that there was only one definition of beauty,” says Caitie speaking with Allure’s Lexi Novak. “But as I grew up and matured, I realized things are part of you for a reason. Don’t mess with what you’ve got.” Caitie ought not mess with what she has considering how well it worked for her cover of Vogue Italia. “My ears go out all flappy like Dumbo,” admits Jay. “I actually considered having surgery to put them back when I was younger. But why would I [willingly] cut and sew my ears?” Truly, Jay, why? Both girls are extraordinary beauties who belong on any page paying tribute to the rise of rebels.
