NEW YORK — So long, Proenza Schouler, you lot will be missed. Designers Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez presented their final runway show in Gotham, for now anyhow, before they move their runway shows to Paris. There they will show their pre and main collections during the haute couture shows in January and July, which is reportedly a decision borne out of retail market concerns. Whatever the case, Fashion Week in New York will be poorer for their absence. Somber as that news comes, there was still a collection for Fall / Winter 2017 to be shown on the runway Monday afternoon in a show that featured a half dozen models at Next including Lineisy Montero, Jay Wright, Lorena Maraschi, Selena Forrest, Lina Hoss, and Maria Clara. There was plenty of outerwear in the collection, like the shearling jacket in white (pictured) worn by Lina, which ought to temper the fact winter is coming, a winter without Proenza Schouler in New York.
