LONDON — As ever the first port of call for this page’s London Fashion Week coverage is the J.W.Anderson runway show, and Saturday afternoon at the Armed Forces Career Offices on Handel Street in Central London did not disappoint. As incongruous as the host site sounds as a venue for one one of the leading British designers, it is well accommodated to the meet the rigors of high fashion as it is warfare. Jonathan Anderson’s collection for Fall 2017, then is worthy of accolades for its commitment of the feminine form. Draped jersey, ostrich feathers, fur, shearling, even chainmail, were all employed in this regard to achieve a collection for Fall that ought to move critics and buyers alike in formation not unlike the charges that frequent the AFCO during normal business hours. On the afternoon, four girls from across the Next network including Leila Goldkuhl, Lea Issarni, Wangy, and Lineisy Montero featured in the runway show.
