PARIS — As milestones go, 100 is an achievement worth noting, perhaps even an occasion to celebrate. Wednesday afternoon Dries Van Noten marked his 100th show with the sort of fanfare in keeping with his warm, yet reserved demeanor by calling on the models who have walked for him throughout his career. This lineup of legends reflected back not only the celebrated Belgian designer’s staggering body of work, but underscored the deep connection he has with the very women who helped him reach this century mark. Walking for Dries Van Noten in his 100th show, then were seven models from across the Next network including Caroline De Maigret, Odette Pavlova, Katlin Aas, Karmen Pedaru, Erika Wall, Marjan Jonkman, and Marina Perez. The finale for the runway show made poignant use an a cappella version of David Bowie’s “Heroes,” which meant there was hardly a dry eye to be found in the audience, runway, or backstage.  Here’s to Dries.
