Can French chic ever be casual? Vogue Japan puts forth a solution to this conundrum in its June 2017 issue in an editorial featuring Grace Hartzel photographed by Angelo Pennetta. “When French Chic Goes Casual,” as the Géraldine Saglio-styled story is called, pretty much does what it says on the tin by showing a slightly more relaxed, but no less elegant take on the timeless Parisian style. Grace for her part (pictured) opens the story wearing a brown corduroy jacket by Prada over a top by Stella McCartney and little else save tights (Falke) and a heel by Eres. In other words, the look is casual, yet wholly chic. The same can be said for Grace herself, a model who is well at home playing bedroom DJ as she is before a camera or on the catwalk.
