Soon. That is the extent of what the public knows about the timing of the release of the forthcoming record Lust for Life by Lana Del Rey. Exactly when is soon is a discussion best tabled for another day. In the mean time, attention turns to the June 2017 cover of ELLE UK featuring none other than the queen herself photographed by Thomas Whiteside. The issue, which goes on sale next week, features Lana (pictured) in a lush garden wearing Gucci. A second subscriber cover (also pictured) leads with a quotation of Lana’s, which when expanded reads, “I think happiness is the ultimate life goal. I think it’s the only thing that’s important.” Lana goes further, “There are no mechanisms in place for routes to happiness, that’s the whole fucking problem.” If anyone is an authority on matters of happiness and its many tricky avenues, then it’s Lana. Lust for Life cannot come out soon enough, but until then, keep an eye out for June’s ELLE UK.
