Back in March of this year on a Friday afternoon in the garden of the Musée Rodin in Paris Dior staged its runway show for artistic director Maria Grazia Chiuri’s collection for Fall 2017. There was a lot of blue and quite a few models all of whom sported leather berets by milliner Stephen Jones. Memory of that day, that collection a full 117 days later were revived today with the breaking of the Dior advertising campaign for Fall / Winter 2017 starring Grace Hartzel and Selena Forrest. Photographed by French photographer Brigitte Lacombe, the campaign accentuates the assured attitude expressed by Grace, Selena, and others. Don’t take this page’s word for it, though. This is what the house has to say, “Being both united and staunchly individual, they ideally reflect the blue of the creations, a color rich in symbolism and meanings, which plays on the contrasts between the workwear spirit of denim fabrics and the nobility of royal blue velvet.” Dior women unite!
