There are indications that Vogue Arabia will release this story in its July 2017 issue, but as a preemptive act this page and not Twitter (due to space constraints) will do so today. Gotcha! Wait, the wires seem a bit crossed today, rather understandably given the especially revelatory news cycle, which means there is some unpacking to do for what is in fact an engrossing editorial by photographer Michael Schwartz focused solely on Alanna Arrington. Titled “Stop Over,” the story takes place in Silver Sands Motel out on Long Island’s North Fork. The very suggestion of a motel, that postwar American institution, brings to mind ice machines, wooden paneling, and corded telephones, the perfect setting for a high fashion shoot in celebration of the feminine silhouette with a vintage touch. To that end, Alanna (pictured) is sat on a bed in the proverbial wooden paneled motel room, sultry as ever, wearing a Miu Miu top and skirt. With this story out, possibly ahead of the publication in Dubai, sit back and enjoy the story.
