Legend has it that her first i-D cover took all but five minutes to shoot. Selena Forrest after all makes just about everything she does look effortless and her newly announced second i-D cover is no exception. Photographed by Zoë Ghertner and styled by Julia Sarr-Jamois, the cover of the Fall 2017 issue pictures a winking Selena in a pair of dungarees (bib overalls to you, Yanks) by Dior. There is plenty of significance to this cover from the photographer who shot all three of Selena’s advertising campaigns for Proenza Schouler to Dior for whom she features in the Fall 2017 campaign. Issue N°349 is also dubbed the “The Acting Up Issue,” which aptly describes its subject. Elsewhere in the issue, Hollywood’s next generation of stars are given their due in an effort to figure out just what it is that makes them, well, stars. Judge an issue by its cover, then, Selena Forrest has no rivals.
