Masquerade is an enduring motif in fashion partly for it ability to extend the life of a secret and ultimately power itself. Don a mask, court intrigue. It’s that simple. The October 2017 issue of Vogue Japan celebrates the masquerade in an haute couture story by photographer Albert Watson and stylist Sissy Vian starring a trio of models at Next including Lina HossAiden Curtiss, and Lia Pavlova. Lina (pictured) for her part wears a dress by Ermanno Scervino, which is decidedly revealing in masquerade terms, but no less intriguing.
