LONDON — Fashion Week in the British capital got off on a front foot Friday evening at Old Billingsgate Market on Lower Thames Street with the Ralph & Russo Prêt-À-Porter Spring / Summer 2018 runway show. It was but 73 days ago when designers Tamara Ralph and Michael Russo regaled Paris with their couture collection for Fall / Winter 2017. A transition into ready-to-wear is no mean feat, but then again the sort of runaway success these two have achieved over the last 7 years since launching is itself unprecedented. Nevertheless, there is little Ralph & Russo cannot accomplish without its nous honed over the years of garnering A-list clientele such as Angelina Jolie. This know-how was on full display Friday night in a runway show that was opened and closed by Arizona Muse and Blanca Padilla respectively. Joining the pair on the runway from across the entire Next global network were Ola Rudnicka, Carson ZehnerPiene Burgers, Moira Berntz, Nastya Cherkasova, and Nisaa Pouncey.
