Back in May of this year New York City hosted Valentino for its cruise runway show. As collections go, it was a decidedly sportier side of Valentino that Pierpaolo Piccioli explored and, it must be noted, with great affection for Gotham. Fast forward 145 days and the advertising campaign for that collection has broken today and features none other than Selena Forrest. The campaign was shot at dusk on one of Manhattan’s countless basketball courts. Selena is shown bottom left with her hand on one of the coveted Valentino basketballs, which will be available for sale for $145 at a pop-up store at 121 Spring Street in Soho through 26 November 2017. Valentino will also open doors at pop-ups in Tokyo and Hong Kong. Unlike the Knicks, this collection looks a winner.
