The January 2018 issue of British Vogue has plenty of buzz about it and rightly so, it is the first issue of the recently appointed editor-in-chief Edward Enninful. There is so much to love about the issue including a story by photographer Karim Sadli, which features amongst others Hiandra Martinez. The story goes after that oft celebrated sweet spot in fashion, the high-low mix. Stylist Poppy Kain in this story calls on some heavy hitters from the high side of closet, namely Louis Vuitton and Prada (both pictured). Readers will no doubt recognize Mike, Lucas, Dustin, and Will from Stranger Things, the wholesale likeness of whom proved too irresistible for Nicolas Ghesquière not to use in his collection for Spring 2018. As for Prada, that comicstrip coat will too be familiar, though the sleeves are worn down instead of up past the elbow styling preferred on the runway by Olivier Rizzo. Making all of this not merely conceptual, but believable is Hiandra, the sweet spot of all things good.
