Vision is not what it used to be. Nothing is, but what is true is that roughly 6 out of 10 people wear corrective lenses of some sort. Those numbers account for projections that by 2024 the eyewear market will exceed US $180 billion. It stands to reason, then that designers and stylists ought to pay attention to trends in eyewear, which is precisely what the shrewd lot at Allure have done in the January 2018 issue for a story featuring none other than Danielle Lashley. Photographed by Sharif Hamza, the feature opens with the freckled beauty from England’s south coast wearing a pair of cat-eye frames by Krewe. She follows up that look with a pair wire frames by Dior, which go fabulously with a leather jacket by Ellery and a cashmere roll neck by Tory Burch. What appears at first blush to be retro indulgence are made to look thoroughly contemporary by Danielle, who it must be said is a vision to behold.
