Although the evolutionary origins of the smile is opaque to say the least, its pleasing qualities are undeniable. As a species, we just look better when we smile than when we brood. This quirk of evolution is not lost on the editors of Harper’s Bazaar Turkey, who for the January 2018 issue released a series of covers all with Blanca Padilla on them. One of the covers in particular (pictured) shows Blanca flashing a toothy grin and wearing a look by Calvin Klein 205W39NYC by Raf Simons. There are four covers total, two of which are shown here. Where the smile goes from here is anyone’s guess, but natural selection would surely favor anything Blanca Padilla.
