Eli Epperson first appeared on this page in September of last year, not long after signing for Next. The Kentucky native is a fixture on the menswear runways having walked for the likes of Calvin Klein, Burberry, Coach, and more. Eli’s latest outing since the turn of the year has been landing the cover of the January / February 2018 issue of Manifesto. Photographed by Brent Chua, Eli is pictured wearing a cotton knit T-shirt with zipper appliqué, cotton shirt with cotton knit sleeves, cotton fisherman shorts, and calfskin leather sandals, all from Loewe by Jonathan Anderson. The Irish designer renown for his artistry, if not meticulousness has broken new ground by creating menswear for the Spanish label. Fitting, then that Eli should wear the look so well and for that matter on a magazine cover. Still, music holds sway with the 19-year-old. “I play instruments and make beats sometimes,” says model Eli. “In my dreams I’m a club DJ or something.” If the music thing does not work out for Eli, there is always modeling.
