Any readers looking to skip town could do worse than head for the Isle of Skye. Scotland’s largest and northernmost island boasts breathtaking vistas and possesses an abundance of natural wonders the likes of which will have out-of-towners researching the tenability of indefinite leave to remain. Those readers not up for a momentous journey, let alone dealings with UK Visas and Immigration ought to pick up the March 2018 issue of Harper’s Bazaar UK in order to page through a story featuring Next’s very own Ali Michael in, wait for it, the Isle of Skye. Photographed by Erik Madigan Heck and styled by Leith Clark, the story does not shy away from the majesty of the Scottish archipelago, on the contrary, it wholly embraces it. To that end, much of the story is comprised of landscape images for obvious reasons, except for a shot (pictured below) in which Ali is shown standing against an emerald green backdrop wearing a lace and silk dress by Ermanno Scervino and metallic calf skin boots by Dior. Any intrepid travelers dead set on reaching this slice of heaven ought to catch a flight to Glasgow and proceed by train or even ferry. Either way, Ali Michael’s story is a sight to savor.
