NEW YORK — Saturday evening at the erstwhile Condé Nast Building high above Times Square Alexander Wang served his penance for last season’s transgression. The dalliance with industrial Bushwick was not be renewed this season. Instead for Fall 2018 Wang conducted a hostile takeover of corporate culture and its trappings down to grey commercial floor rugs and cubicles. With authority fully assumed, CEO Alex advanced an agenda in black and white terms, though mostly black. The bodycon silhouette dominated as did stiletto heels and logoed black nylons for those who work hard and of course upmarket athleisure for those play equally hard. Four girls who work harder and play harder than most included Shujing Zhou, Binx, Selena Forrest, and Wangy.
