NEW YORK — A shudder admittedly accompanied the revelation Wednesday morning’s Michael Kors runway show would take place at Lincoln Center. Not-so-fond memories of the sprawling Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week tent city abandoned as recently as 2015 came flooding back, but thankfully they were only memories. Michael Kors spared invited guests that circus and instead put on a show tucked inside the Vivian Beaumont Theater. The marquee occasion replete with Playbill collection notes was made all the more sensational with Binx opening the show wearing a crimson tartan wool melton cape paired with a black and crimson rose dress, and tartan muffler. Joining Binx on the runway were a dozen models from across the Next global network including Hiandra Martinez, Callum Stoddart, Bakay Diaby, Lineisy Montero, Selena Forrest, Piero Méndez, Erik Van Gils (Next London), Georgina Grenville, Tessa Bruisma, Shujing Zhou, Marjan Jonkman, and Grace Elizabeth. There something for probably everyone in this collection, not least of which has to be that smile on Binx’s face.
