Vogue España is deep into celebration of its 30th anniversary, and rightly so, print after all is a perishable commodity. Blanca Padilla kicked off festivities with her brilliant cover, but deeper in the issue there is an editorial by photographer Emma Summer that equally catches the eye. Starring Lili Sumner and Aiden Curtiss, the story (like the issue as a whole) pays tribute the 1980s, specifically the house parties as they might have looked in say, London, attracting the likes of Siouxsie Sioux or Iggy Pop. The resulting portraits looks less like pages from a magazine than they do scrap books of a bygone era. To be sure, there is plenty of elegance to go around, Aiden and Lily (pictured) are shown wearing Prada and Miu Miu respectively. Set design by Viki Rutsch is particularly inspired, every bit the equal of the period hair and makeup. As for Spanish Vogue, keep those celebrations going!
