Condé Nast has its sights set on Eastern Europe. A Polish edition of Vogue made its debut earlier this year and in August with the launch of a Vogue edition for the Czech Republic and Slovakia reached newsstands. Under Soviet rule the two republics were combined to form Czechoslovakia, which peaceably dissolved in 1993. A quarter century later, Czechoslovakia has emerged from the annals of the Cold War to provide the geographical basis what has been christened Vogue Czechoslovakia. The November 2018 issue broke with week and carries none other than Lili Sumner. Photographed by Dan Beleiu and styled by Sam Ranger, the cover depicts Lili peering with one through a mask of her own face. The dialogue between model and mask creates a delicious tension, one which Lili effortlessly sustains in the moment captured for the November cover.

Anna Cleveland also has a cover of the November 2018 issue. Visit vogue.cz.
