Godot arrived. Finally. OK, not literally, but for all intents and purposes the elusive titular character of the play by Samuel Beckett that premiered in 1953 might as well have pitched up on stage because running in the November 2018 issue of Harper’s Bazaar is an advertising campaign for Chloé Handbags starring none other than Alexis Sundman. Timings in fashion are such that what is produced this week might not see light of day many months later. This much is true for this particular campaign, portions of which surfaced back in May of this year for the Spring 2018 advertising rollout. The wait is no more, however for Alexis, who readers will recall made her debut at Chloé in March. Photographed by Theo Sion, a portrait of Alexis is conspicuously taped to the wall behind the Faye handbag in carbon brown calfskin. The wait was worth it after all.
