Cole Mohr has stories to tell. No native Texan born during Ronald Reagan’s second presidential term who is covered in tattoos could possibly be found wanting when it comes to recounting the odd tale or humorous jape. The latest issue of Man About Town puts forward another, decidedly darker proposition in a story of its own shot on location in the vacant turnpike wilds of New Jersey. “This Way to Tullo,” photographed by Blair Get Mezibov and styled by Grant Woolhead, takes a poignant look at a man adrift, roaming the in between spaces of society. The story being told around Cole not only feels genuine, but it is made believable by the sheer gravitas of its subject. Readers believe Cole is the man in the clothes, biding his time, on the road to somewhere, anywhere. Come along for the ride, this is one hell of a story.
