A new Dior advertising campaign has seen the light of day and at the heart of it is Selena Forrest. The Ready-To-Wear campaign for Spring / Summer 2019 by photographer Harley Weir is not Selena’s first for the storied French house, not even close. End of October of last year in fact Selena turned up in Dior’s Cruise 2019 campaign and before that the Fall / Winter 2017 campaign. Suffice it to say, Selena has history with Maria Grazia Chiuri in her role as Dior’s women’s artistic director. Her latest campaign picks up right where the corresponding runway show in Paris back in September left off. Modern dance and its attendant palette of movements are key in this campaign as they were in the show. “My work is related to the celebration of the body through clothing and the opportunity it offers us in how we represent ourselves in the eyes of others, as well as in our own eyes,” says Maria Grazia Chiuri. Selena for her part ticks all the boxes with this campaign.
