Real quick, weather is not climate, climate is not weather. The Midwest and parts of Eurasia are suffering record low temperatures because of the onset of a Polar Vortex brought about by rising Arctic Ocean temperature and the melting ice. Climate change in other words! It’s a wonder there are even seasons any more given the uncertainty over which hellscape winter will be, frozen or sweltering. Climate change notwithstanding, Spring / Summer 2019 is a season still being recognized by high fashion including BOSS, which released its advertising campaign by Craig McDean starring none other than Cara Taylor. There she is, standing against a partly cloudy blue sky wearing a trench coat, belted trouser, and ribbed cotton top, and giving the horizon that thousand mile stare only she can give. And really, this is advertising whether or not the seasons conform to the historically recognizable patterns of yore.
