Unless the subject being discussed is Rick Owens, then shape is not typically the first or even the fifth item on the agenda. The forthcoming issue of T: The New York Times Style Magazine explicitly addresses dramatic shapes for spring in its cover story by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. The story features a cast that includes Binx Walton and Lineisy Montero and goes a long way in showcasing silhouettes that are anything but ordinary and yet at the same time immensely wearable. Take for example the dress by The Row worn by Binx (pictured). It hearkens back to another century entirely, but worn by Binx on the streets of industrial Brooklyn it looks utterly contemporary, if not future-looking. These are the shapes to come worn by models that will always be next.
