Dial it back to January. All the way back to the Versace men’s show and the magic spell Guido Palau cast on João Knorr in order to create that memorable leopard print coif. To be fair, magic is Guido’s business, but that do was delirious. No surprise, then that echoes of that look are present in João’s latest magazine cover for the April 2019 issue of Reflex Homme, but only this time the leopard print comes courtesy of a fitted cap. Photographed in New York by Jorge Anaya, the cover and the corresponding story is wild. This is no meditation on the subtle tensions at work between varying shades of grey this season. Far from it, this is an expressive celebration of the expansive nature of menswear today. The cover alone announces its intentions, animal print headpiece, Sacai shirt, and jacket from Dsquared2. Admit it, João’s tasty like a rain drop, he’s got the look!
