Another four pages in the May 2019 issue of American Vogue worthy of appreciation feature none other than Anok Yai. The theme to this feature by photographer Theo Sion concerns spring suiting. Readers are prompted to “forget the old boys’ network” and focus on the new tailoring this season from the sharp and shapely to louche and loose. Anok opens the story wearing a Celine by Hedi Slimane suit that would not look out of place on the set of Reservoir Dogs, but it is a Gucci number by Alessandro Michele (pictured) that particularly catches the eye. The tailoring calls to mind a bygone era, much more swinging than today, but worn by Anok it is unquestionably contemporary.
