September issues are huge. Chock full of advertising, several hundred pages of the stuff, the editorial offerings are not to be overlooked. That is certainly the case for the September 2019 issue of British Vogue, which after more than 300 pages opens to an editorial featuring Ugbad Abdi. Think back a year, all the way to last summer when it was Ugbad shot her first agency digitals, a milestone she marked this week on Instagram. A lot has happened for Ugbad over the course of that solar orbit, not least of which has witnessed her cement a place in the American and British editions of Vogue. This latest entry on her CV comes courtesy of photographer Campbell Addy and stylist Julia Sarr-Jamois. Titled “Paint by Numbers,” the story celebrates this season’s leading examples of dyed leathers. Colorful offerings, to be sure, but none outshine the incandescent Ugbad.

This story also features a cameo by Callie Dixon.
