GQ has been in print since 1931 and for those 88 years has largely served the mandate of the publication’s original title, Gentlemen’s Quarterly. Suiting has always had its place on the editorial agenda and the September 2019 issue is no exception. What has changed, however is the casting for GQ’s fall fashion guide, which has expanded to include characters of strength like Erika Linder. “I had a subscription to [American] GQ in Sweden before I started male modeling,” says Erika. “I was just so inspired by all the menswear. I used to look at those pictures and be like, ‘Oh, one day.’ ” That day has come for this feature by Dan Jackson and George Cortina in which Erika (pictured) wears a black shirt by Hermès underneath a pinstripe suit finished with a belt by Rag & Bone. Worn by Erika, the look is especially chic and any boys or girls reading the issue are sure to draw inspiration from it.
