French monthly Numéro has been in print for 21 years. During its lifetime several international editions have launched, the latest of which is Numéro Homme Netherlands. The unveil the newly minted Dutch title, the publication has released a dozen covers, many digital, one of which includes Next London’s Erik Van Gils photographed by Ruben de Wilde. In a post on Instagram, the magazine declares Erik to be the future, which is fair enough, after all he’s wearing a black suit and leather boots, all by Balenciaga. The corresponding cover story carries the title “Apocalyptic,” which as possible futures go is decidedly grim, if not inescapably real. Whatever comes, the Dutch have their very own Numéro Homme and for now it has Erik Van Gils on the cover.
