In a time of impending quarantine, only cold numbers will do, take for example sales growth of 6.9%. This figure represents the third-quarter gains made by Bottega Veneta in 2019 under the creative direction of Daniel Lee and early indications suggest they are only the beginning. The Spring 2020 issue of i-D celebrates the talented young designer and graduate of Central Saint Martins in a story by photographer Christian MacDonald and stylist Max Clark starring Cara Taylor. What is immediately apparent with all things Bottega Veneta is how contrary the maison’s output is to a world awash in logos and slapdash constructions. Cara for her part brings these critical and commercial blockbusters to life, demonstrably showing they are not only chic, but wearable. When your own initials are enough, make it CT 4 BV.
